Workshop Rockhampton - ROCKHAMPTON CITY

The restaurant is owned and operated by locals, offering a unique mix of Nepali, Japanese, pizza, and bar cuisine. However, the opening hours can be inconsistent. It is recommended to call in advance to ensure they are open and serving food.

I visited the Workshop on Saturday morning with my daughter - and it was amazing. My daughter had the iced tea and I had a coffee - both were perfect. We shared a green tea and berry muffin (delicious) and a Romano crepe (on buckwheat with chorizo) and it was really nice. The food was fresh and filling and well priced. We sat outside and watched people learning to dance in the warehouse across from the outdoor area. It was just a perfect morning. We will be back!

The banana bread is delicious and the coffee is strong. The courtyard has a relaxed atmosphere and is quite charming. A wonderful new addition to Rocky.

Relaxed atmosphere, great decor with recycled pieces and friendly service. During summer can be very hot as there isn't air conditioning.

Great food, relaxed atmosphere, interesting spaces and very pet friendly. Not only is the food to die for in this cafe in the Rockhampton CBD, but you can actually bring man's best friend as well. My friend and I arrived for breakfast as return guests having been once before for breakfast. We took three dogs this time into the large court yard area out the back of the restaurant and they were immediately treated to chicken puppicinnos free of charge in little disposable cups. The owner/manager personally came out to greet us and our pups and was really friendly and lovely to talk to. The hospitality at this restaurant is friendly and service is timely and excellent. It is a relaxed environment both inside the small areas within the restaurant (where we dined last time) as well as the two other interesting spaces out the back, including courtyard space where we were with the dogs and right out the very back where there is an artisan space in another building to the rear of the courtyard. Hence where the name of the cafe "workshop" comes. Last visit we saw a ukulele group, while this time we were entertained by a group of young aspiring models having a photo shoot. Would be a great venue for parties, business team building, art shows or an afternoon drinking beers watching a band. We ordered salmon crepes and the a savoury strawberry crepe which had jam and jus made by the the cafe. Highly recommend if you like great food and coffee, 1970s chairs and recycled decor, gardens and interesting spaces. We will be going back again.
