Swedish Pancake House - Rockford

This group of employees is unlike any other! We came in for breakfast on Friday last week. Upon our arrival, someone came out to help with the door as my boyfriend's grandma has a walker. After hearing about the loss of her husband that used to come in with her, our waitress was there with open arms to give a hug and all the rest of the staff were just as sympathetic for our loss. Aside from great food, this place has some awesome people working there! Thank you so much for your kindness and hospitality, you really don't know how much it means. See you again!

The restaurant has a more worn look than in the past. Food was a bit greasy! The service was great. Immediate seating and quick service with good checkbacks.Restrooms were clean and well stocked.Food: 3/5

Ordered Easter breakfast to go for 6 people. The savory foods needed seasoning salt and pepper, at least! But the sweet foods, SO good!! Also, the hollandaise was done right! Overall, a winner, but savory basics, like gravy, chicken, taters, lack flavor.Food: 4/5

This establishment has an awesome story line, a small family owned restaurant but leaves a huge impression!!! Attentive, friendly, and such a comfortable atmosphere where everyone is friendly. It's my favorite breakfast restaurant, you are always greeted with a smile and sit were ever you'd like! It's family operated, where else do the husband and wife work everyday, awesome family. Please Rockford get in there meet the owners and the awesome food they have. I Love It!!!!

My mother in law loves this place and her and my husband have gone here for years prior to me joining the family! It’s a quaint little gem in Rockford, at the corner of a little strip mall. It has certainly grown on me. The food is affordable and the service is great! My reasoning for the four stars two things. First, the food is subpar. It’s not that it’s not good, it’s just not impressive. Two, is that they need to have a better system for random ppl coming in that aren’t supposed to be there because the last time I went, there was a gentleman that started yelling and it scared everyone. It looked like he was reaching for something while he was walking out and my mind went everywhere. So yes, security or some system needs to be put in place as this was the second time something like this happens. Other than that, the food is decent esp for the price!
