Swan Dive - Rochester

This restaurant is a super cute bar that I always take my out-of-town friends to. I have visited many times at night when they have had a DJ or music playing, and having pizza served so late is the best late-night snack. I would rate the food 4 out of 5.

If your ex who used to stalk you and cause trouble now works at this restaurant, they may refuse to let you in because they prefer to hire children. I do not recommend this place if they tolerate such immaturity from their staff. Service: 1/5.

While visiting colleges with our kids in town, we discovered this restaurant on the map. Located within walking distance of our hotel, we were intrigued by its description on the website as “a little bit dive bar and a little fancy.” The retro decor was cute, with a coin-operated pool table upstairs and very friendly staff. The food was delicious, with standout dishes being the artichoke pizza special and strawberry shortcake cookie special. The homemade pizza dough was impressive, even for picky eaters like us who live near New Haven. The cocktails and mocktails were also excellent. While the food was served a bit sporadically, we didn't mind as we were enjoying playing pool and spending time with our teenagers. We are hoping our son chooses a college in Rochester so we can visit this restaurant again.

You HAVE to try the carrots! They are absolutely incredible! Service was fast, just wish they brought us back the water pitcher. I would go again just for the carrots.
