Hogan's Hideaway - Rochester

Unfortunately I have to revise my review from 5 stars to 3. We came tonight, and had to send back the burger as it was the wrong order. It was a plain burger with goat cheese only. We ordered the hideaway burger with gouda. It also comes with bacon and aioli. Mistakes happen, however the replacement burger was overcooked and missing the aioli sauce it comes with. We also ordered a vizzy drink twice, which unfortunately never came. Clearly an off night but I can’t hype this up anymore.

Good food, good service, good atmosphere, good prices. Really GOOD!

We were seated at our reservation time. Very wobbly table. It took a fairly long time before we were greeted. Drinks were at least 10 minutes before they hit the table. Two burger ordered Medium Well with salads. I guess the salads are served with the entree. I would 've preferred them first. 25 minutes after ordering, they came out together and both burgers were medium rare at the most. Didn 't see the server again for at least another 10 minutes. Partner asked for Tabasco sauce, a different type was brought out. She could 've stated oh sorry. We don 't haveTabasco, we have X. Is that ok? No offer of dessert or coffee when box was brought for the burger I brought home to finish cooking. Food was good. Just wish it were prepared to our preference. But definitely will not be back if this is the service that is given. Very disappointing.

Just recently reserved the private room for a dinner for a non-profit board that I'm part of. It was a fantastic experience overall. The restaurant was amazingly responsive to email, great about checking in, and even arranging for parking next door. Everyone in our group was so impressed. The food was great and reasonably priced and the staff was attentive and friendly.

My wife and I are new to the area. We were driving around and hungry and stumbled upon The Hideaway by chance. It was our first time there, and it will DEFINITELY not be the last time. The food is SO good, and the prices are incredible. Great drinks as well. My mom is visiting in a couple of weeks, and we're going to bring her to Sunday brunch. I highly recommend this restaurant!
