Best restaurant in Rochefort, refined dishes, very welcoming. Today lunch on a very pleasant terrace. I strongly recommend.
Disastrous balance at excessive prices. We chose this hotel for the restaurant that seemed interesting to us. When we arrive at 7 p.m. we are asked if we wish to dine without warning of the following: under the pretext of a group, no card tonight, a menu imposed on €37.50. Correct entrance-tomate raie , cod plate exchanged at our request for pork...what glory! accompanied by cabbage in the middle of the month of August in particle time! and dessert a cup of strawberries a ball of sorbet so far from worth this price there! We were served under an infested mosquito pergola where the temperature was to frost the 40 degrees while the room was empty was more fresh... Map of wines in a light digital version: confusions between appellations and wine regions, carafe of water claimed at the end of the meal.... lukewarm....The service reduced to its simplest expression: visibly we did not interested Madame who at no time came to see us at our table and did not even stop when I warned that we would not stay for a single night... The room: 1 single point positive the mattress but the rest in the 80's version... no air conditioning it was also not notified to the reservation that only 12 rooms were equipped with tiny, simple glazing, dust on the bedside lamps, tiny TV, capricious remote control as well as the wc's water hunt which they were well entarrated on the other hand. And it goes on to breakfast: we are patient to put the coffee machine in service, crescents, no fresh water, a single type of cereal bread all for 15 euros compared to 13.5 € the following night in a hotel of the same category in La Rochelle with a better choice and especially a much more friendly staff. At the time of departure: 2 employees at the bar who took a coffee and never went back to make me wait for what I had to do to settle a well-sealed note. The exteriors left to abandon, only 2 chairs – very coveted – at the entrance to take the air, we just pressed on the edge of a gardener. Hotel-restauration is a profession- mine in this case, trained at the hotel school in Bordeaux- and to practice it, empathy is essential. Hotel schools are still in the future!
Delicious meal with a warm welcome. The cuisine is refined, a very interesting wine list. Quality price top!
A pleasant discovery, have very well eaten from the entrance to the dessert. The quality was there but the quantity too! I recommend! Service without false note, nice servers.
