The Beach Club San Simon - Roatan

The ambiente was charming and peter our waiter was appropriately attentive, friendly and funny. the food was also delicious and beautifully presented. a welcome farewell from some other restaurants in roatan. they treat themselves.

Shockingly bad. if I could give zero stars, I would. we showed up for our reservation just to tell us that we don't have one. 5 people stand to see a computer. to the happiness someone from the day before recognized me when I made the reservation in person. suddenly there was our reservation. we have chosen a beautiful table, the ambiente is beautiful. kellner did not speak English. to happiness my man is fluent in spanish. the waiter told us to order dessert before we placed our appetizer, because the kitchen was so slow. we were the only table in the restaurant at our reservation time of 6:00 o'clock. the dessert was sorbet. bizarre. my man ordered the bietling rare. he has been very clear and repeated rarely.... it came gray and burned. beyond well done. When I tried to send it back, I was told that only sous vide meat is prepared. it was unhappy. it was not possible. No one has checked us the following hour, we had to get our second round drinks from the bar, etc. high point was the bartender, he offered us a smoked welcome cocktail that had a nice presentation, and when we went back, because we had no service at our table for more drinks - the bar service and drinks were great. they also have a wine list - so I recommend it for drinks.
