Loona Rossa - Riyadh

A hidden gem! I had driven by the place numerous time without realizing what it was, but decided to stop in one day and check it out. Another great spot in the city for some home made comfort food and the portions sizes are quite big!

Great homestyle food! I was immediately addressed by a soft spoken lady, who was later also my waitress and told to sit anywhere. I ordered the chicken fingers and Greek salad, and a Coke. The chicken fingers were huuuuge and delicious, the best I've had at a restaurant in a while. The Greek salad wasn't great. There was a piece of brown lettuce.. Which made it hard for me to enjoy the rest of the salad. The interior looks like it has never been updated, and I don't particularly care about decor.. But it didn't seem the cleanest in there. Perhaps that's not fair to say, and it was the dingy setting that is affecting my perception. I would return for the pizza that I saw a neighbouring table order. It looked/smelled delicious.

We've been here many times with co workers during lunch and never been disappointed. I usually order the Reuben sandwich and always been good. The soup of the day at times can be a hit and miss without anything on it except bits and pieces of vegetable and meat. Fast and friendly service at reasonable price.

Finally tried their pizza after driving by for years. Wow! Never felt a pizza box so heavy. Lots of toppings and tasty. One of the better pizzas I've had in this city. Only complaint I have is that the crust was too thick. My fault there as I did not ask if they had a thin crust. IMO the pizza would taste better on thin as that is my preference. Next time! The two ladies at the front were very friendly and helpful. While I was there they helped an elderly lady carry her 3 extra large pizzas out to her car. Given the weight of my medium I would have needed help.

Loved the burger; very nice patty and bun. The fried onions were perfect. The side of coleslaw was also excellent and generous.
