Bidrage med feedbackWent out for lunch on Saturday and found a food truck serving Salvadorian and Honduran food. We had the Pupusas which are round corncakes made with corn flour (masa) and filled with bean and cheese, potatoes or just beans. We also tried the Pastelitos which is similar to a fried empanada filled with potatoes and chorizo or just potatoes, your choice. Both plates were served with “curtido” which I learned is the equivalent to sauerkraut. They have complimentary salsas that you can drizzle over your Pupusa or Pastelito. The green salsa was a creamy tomatillo avocado salsa. This is Central American street food and it was fresh and delicious. While we enjoyed our food, we also shopped with local vendors on same lot who were selling handmade jewelry. There was another food truck selling coffee and desserts which included homemade pies so will have to go back for coffee and desserts.
