Bidrage med feedbackIt's hard to resist not eating here whenever I'm in the Binondo area. We always order steamed fish variety depends on what's available for the day. For this visit, I also got pork ears, scallops and mushroom dish. The pork ear was tasty but too fatty.
One of the best chinese restaurant in Binondo! All food are superb in taste and affordable too. The restaurant seems old but the ambiance was okay and the taste of the food are all authentic.
If you’re looking for that hole in the wall restaurant you want to add into your Binondo food crawl list or just want to find an authentic local restaurant, Ang Tunay Beef House is the one. My family discovered this little nook over a decade ago and it hasn’t changed much since then. It’s a small family-run carinderia style restaurant filipino-chinese go to everyday. It’s definitely a bang for the buck and quality is assured. Our family still frequents Binondo for the authentic Chinese food, and Ang Tunay Beef House is one of our go-to places. Obviously, their specialty is their Beef Noodle Soup which are offered in various options. Our staple order are their Yang Chow Fried Rice, Asado Pork, Kikiam, Prawns with Garlic, and if you’re up for something exotic, order the Black Chicken Soup.
You know what they say, the best food can usually be eaten at the most unexpected places! ang tunay beef house has been there for a long time already and despite its tacky ambience, their food is really really good. Definitely authentic chinese food, well hello, great restaurants in hongkong look exactly the same with ang tunay's interiors, so fret not! totally better than those fine dining restaurants with ridiculous prices and subpar food... do try the bu ma ki soup, kien tsi soup, and their kiampong. next time, i will try their huge prawns with garlic.
Don't be fooled by its dirty interiors! The display and setup may look like it's your average canteen, but I kid you not the food here is top notch. This is one of the few places I could genuinely say is a hidden gem. I have been going to this spot for over 10 years now and this is one of the best places to get quality restaurant food for an affordable price. Their menu changes from time to time and some dishes are seasonal, so best not to expect that every dish in the menu is available. But, most of your staple Chinese food with some special order dishes are regularly offered. I would recommend their Giant prawns with garlic, sweet and sour pork, and yang chow fried rice. If you're looking for an authentic high-quality Chinese food, this place is definitely a hidden gem!
