Bidrage med feedbackThe food was delicious and the service was top-notch during our stay at the hotel. The ambiance was very comfortable. We dined at the restaurant twice at different times and noticed that the menu had changed significantly.
We have been in the area for a few days and, although I would give it four stars, it was the best breakfast we have had so far. I ordered the Duck Benedict and my husband had the Lobster Benedict. The plates looked appetizing, but were on the small side and lacked flavor. The Hollandaise sauce was bland and the potatoes were overly oily. Despite this, we still enjoyed our meal and the coffee was great. The fruits on our plates were ripe and delicious. The service was excellent and we enjoyed the beautiful view.
We have eaten in la handles before and check it cheap as it is an excellent restaurant, but thought it should be noticed that it can be very loud! that's the first time we noticed it and assume that it was because. at this opportunity, we dined on a Saturday night. our server told us that the noise level did not get out of the ordinary. as before was eating delicious, the presentation was nice and the service was in front of place. If they start with a group of friends who do not think of having a conversation, it will not be a problem, but if they are looking for a place to have a quiet romantic dinner, they will avoid Saturday night!
We stayed at the hotel, which houses this restaurant, and this is the first time we ate in their restaurant, but it won't be our last. The waiting staff is pleasant and informative and attentive. The menu is not exhaustive... but certainly has something for everyone. We were tried by many of their offers. We started with half a bottle of Chablis and were satisfied with our choice. The warm dinner rolls were lovely and we were very tempted to fill ourselves with them. I chose the duck jam with Gratin dauphinois, red cabbage and beautifully made seasonal vegetables, and everything was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. My partner had Steak and Frites and he was also very satisfied with his choice. Despite a plentiful serving plate of food, I managed to decorate some of his frits and they were great. I originally come from Montreal, I know a good frit when I taste and they were fantastic. We cleaned our plates and were predictably too full for dessert or even coffee, but what looked like a chocolate lava cake made for a tempting presentation. The bill was surprisingly reasonable when you look at our feast. Two thumbs for this restaurant.
Great View of the St. Laurence from the patio. The Salmon trio is beautiful. The gravlax came with creme fraiche, the smoked salmon with cream cheese and the tartar with a mustard vinaigrette. The bavette and frites is delicious and the salad Nicoise is huge....It has two big chunks of seared tuna, crispy roasted new potatoes, a medium boiled egg, tasty croutons, cherry tomatoes and olives all served over mixed greens with a vinaigrette. The beignes with ice cream, fresh fruit and salted caramel finished it off perfectly.
