Au Boucaneux - Rivière-du-Loup

I had a fantastic dining experience at a beautiful restaurant I discovered in Rivière du Loup. They offer a great selection of menu items, including various fish, lobster, and steak, all at reasonable prices. The restaurant has a casual ambiance and is located by the water near the ferry. The food is fresh, homemade, and absolutely delicious. The seafood platter I tried was perfect, especially the salmon. The oysters were fresh and tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant to any seafood lover.

Hummer not fresh, pork souvlaki from supermarket, salad terrible, ricebland and tasteless. brutal waste of money with beautiful views. buy a sandwich in store for 5 dollars and sit outside

I decided to have lunch at this restaurant because I wanted to try something different outside of my hotel. The staff was friendly and welcoming, but unfortunately, the food was not up to par. I ordered a seafood dish which lacked flavor and I had to add a lot of salt and pepper to make it tasty. A few days later, I tried a similar dish at another restaurant and it was much better in comparison. It seemed like the seafood at this restaurant was not fresh, possibly frozen and imported from Asia. Additionally, the restroom was not easily accessible. Overall, I would not return to this restaurant.

I'm new to the area. The restaurant was busy on the Canada day, but the staff was attentive and we were served quickly. The food was delicious everywhere. Good quality steak and lobster. The lobster poutine should die. I'm happy to live nearby so I'm back.

The food and service were extremely disappointing. We waited a long time for the server to take our order and the food took a while to arrive, only to be underwhelming. The lobster poutine was cold and the sauce was gooey, although the cheese curds were good. The lobster roll was served on a pita without being buttered or toasted, which was unexpected. We had to ask three times for the bill. Despite the disappointing experience, the restaurant has a spectacular view. If you value ambiance over food quality, it may still be worth a visit.
