Roots Restaurant Bar - Riverside

Roots is an amazing restaurant! The atmosphere is inviting, the staff is friendly, and the food is excellent. We tried most of the menu since we live quite a distance, and the portions are a good size for the price.My favorite dish , and most everyone else’s, was the Garden Monster burger, this is a definite must try! We started with the Onion Petals, Impossible Crispy Dumplings, and “Cheese” plate. My favorite appetizer was the dumplings great flavor, and the chimichurri sauce was delicious.We also tried the Mushroom Pasta, and Shrimp Tacos, both were also amazing.For dessert we had the Night Cap chocolate peanut butter ice cream with a coffee caramel sauce, absolutely worth it! We also had the Pineapple Thai Basil Cheesecake which was equally delicious.I highly recommend trying out this restaurant, you will not be disappointed!Parking: There is no parking lot for the restaurant but there seems to be plenty of paid parking available nearby. We went on a weekday lunchtime at there were plenty of places to park within a 5 min walking distance. The restaurant is located near the courthouse downtown and I was surprised at the number of available parking spots.

This place is AWESOME!! Service, food, atmosphere, everything! However, I have heard a rumor that they might be closing and it breaks my heart!! There is no other place in Riverside to get this quality of awesome, vegan food and drinks!! ?

The food was sensational and unique. I love that most everything is made in house- I don’t even eat ketchup with my fries usually but the house made ketchup here is delicious so I had to. Love the vibe here and attention to detail in everything.Also if you don’t try the DIY sushi place you are making a mistake!Vegetarian options: All vegan, no compromise to taste.

Do not come to this place if you have a tight schedule. Came for lunch as it is close to jury room. Took 40 mins for food to arrive after ordering. Which would have been ok if server would have attended to the table for drinks. Place was not crowded so not sure why service and food is so slow. Tacos were ok as the chicken is breaded? Menu didnt say crispy and I figured since this is a vegan place it would have been grilled. Even takes awhile to pay your bill. If you come plan on staying about an hour or more.

Best vegetarian food I have ever tried for a Taco Tuesday. The prices are great! I didn't even know it wasn't meat and never tried jackfruit tacos until today.
