Tweeds Buffalo Bar - Riverhead

Been here two weeks before and it was great. Brought my son and came for my husband’s birthday last night and it was awful. How it could go from great last week to awful in a week is beyond me. The blue claw Crabmeat appetizer comes with cocktail sauce which was awful this time. It was thick and hard and cold like it came out of the freezer. Last time it was liquid like normal cocktail sauce. Just awful. And the crab meat was overcooked and gummy. Steaks were fantastic last week. Best steaks I ever ate, last night it was like someone else cooked them. We ordered the Bison Filet and it was literally flavorless. Last time it was so tasty. Lastly was the salad which had blue cheese, bacon, greens, string beans and balsamic dressing. They used canned string beans. Not even the pickled ones. These were like green giant beans. The blue cheese with the balsamic dressing was wretched. I’d never get it again or recommend this salad. I couldn’t even eat more than a few mouthfuls. Never again will we go here. If they changed cooks or kitchen staff in a week, that may explain it but if not, I am disappointed that the food was this bad last night.

Loved the relax setting and the company was great. Christina and Jaime are awesome finds!

Great food! I had the NY strip, mashed potatoes and a Caesar salad. Server was nice. It’s pretty small in there and we were seated next to a large party so it was a little loud with the music. Overall great experience!

Steak and lamb chops was undercooked and over seasoned

It’s a wonderful place the food is delicious the service is terrific they feel in the restaurant is extraordinary
