Bidrage med feedbackMy family and I are normally happy with The Point restaurant but this particular time I discovered Prime Rib with garlic rosemary is not the way to go. The manager Janelle explained when you add garlic rosemary they sear it and it drastically shrinks the cut. No kidding, my 12 oz prime rib ended up becoming a 6oz 1/4 cut. This being said, I don't ever recommend Prim rib a this restaurant! Other entrees are good. Service was otherwise great.
Calamari was bland. Service was awful. Wattres would dissappear for long periods. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Clam Chowder

I have had two meals at the point. The first was the Mushroom Ravioli with Marinara and a Side Salad. The side salad was served with a large amount of cold kidney beans and chickpeas on top. The beans and chickpeas were cold and unseasoned. There were cold sliced beats on the salad which were fine. I asked for the salad to be remade without the beans and chickpeas. The waitress was very accommodating. I asked for tomatoes or cucumbers instead of the beans and did receive 4 cherry tomatoes on the second salad. The Mushroom Ravioli with Marinara was terrible. The ravioli were over cooked to the point I could not chew the pasta around the ravioli pocket. The filling was cheese and specks of ?mushroom?. The marinara was the consistency and taste of straight tomato paste. No seasonings, no moisture. A dry, bland paste. I have a very strong suspicion the ravioli are the same as the pre-made, frozen ravioli I can buy at the grocery. My second dish I tried at the point was the Chicken Marsala with a side of green beans and a baked potato. The Marsala wine gravy was bitter. Poor Marsala choice. The green beans needed seasoning and mine had a large cluster with the stems still on the beans. The baked potato had a large grey whole in the middle and was obviously baked the day before or longer. The flesh was grey and rubbery. Very poor cooking at this restaurant. I gave one star for the pleasant waitress.
