We have visited for three years and the service and food has been excellent the entire time . Ceviche is very good, also coconut shrimp, shrimp empanadas and Mexican beef.

It was great to meet Rojilio and his family. Rojilio is very friendly, he made the effort to learn everyone one's names and pay attention to what the children like to drink and eat. We are 2 families vacationing together, he knew what the four kids want to order before they actually order. They were so impressed with his talent. The food is delicious, the cerviche, coconut shrimp, chicken cheese quesadillas and the grill chicken were so popular with our family. We stayed all day at the beach and El Amigo Vargas, drank and ate all day, the prices were very reasonable and the service was wonderful. Totally recommend this restaurant.

We've enjoyed the hospitality of the Gonzales family since their first year over 12 years ago. About the best value and quality on the beachfront. The matriarch Flora and her assistants are constantly trying new recipes and techniques.If you don't see something on the menu, ask and you will usually get it. My wife has a severe allergy to capsicum, no problem it's never included in her food. Another long time regular travels with an epipen because of life threatening shellfish allergy. They have a set of pots and pans set aside for him.

This is our favorite beach restaurant either for an afternoon margarita with pico de gallo (fresh salsa) and chips, or early sunset dinner. Our waiter this year Roger remembered our names and made us feel like family. Can't wait till next February.

Very friendly and very attentive, best shrimp ceviche I've had. My wife agrees. Our son liked the burgers. Was going to try another dish, but keep ordering the ceviche. The view from the palapa can't be beat, two islands 3 kilometers out front. Great place to get your toes in the sand or jump in the surf.
