Pizzeria Il Poggetto

I came here with my family for lunch for the first time. I am actually quite disappointed to write this review since I have wanted to come here for some time. The waitress was quite nice. The rest of the staff seemed to ignore us as there was a group of tourists in the restaurant. I requested if there was a typical lunch menu--something simple (no), although the 25 other visitors seemed to have a set menu. Our food was extremely late--to the point that my son feel asleep at the table. Because of the extremely high prices (pasta (8.5-13 euros a plate for pasta for example), we only ordered one dish per person. The pasta al ragu my children ordered was underwhelming. My baccala did not pass grade I am sorry to say. I can only assume that they viewed us as passers-by and since we were in a small number, the quality of service was not given and they tried to ensure the highest price was taken from us. All in all, I left disappointed. and I am sorry to say that I doubt if I will ever return for lunch. That said, I certainly do like to support local establishments and will try dinner service and the pizza some evening and hope for the best. From the look of other contributions, I suppose it is necessary to have a coupon, otherwise, beware of what you receive and the price.

Pricey for being so far out into the countryside, food was good, chicken a little dry. We ordered bisteco, and chicken among 5 people, food was well coocked but I feel for being so far out to the countryside prices should reflect that.

I've been in Poggetto's Restaurant twice this August. It seems that the renewed totally the staff and results are great: I've always enjoied a very good pizza, nice service in a fresh and calm atmosphere outdoor.

The view was great, but the waiter took advantage of our luck of Toscana traditional food knowledge so we ened with whatever was expensive , but not what we aimed for.

We ask the waiter to put together a real Toscana diner for us. So we ended up eating salmon. I'm not sure that would make tipical Toscan food.Than we got sea food spaghetti and I'm allergic to sea food.Altrough the review are sayng the price contra what you got is a really value we paid to much.The view is nice, just tha waiter wanted to take advantage .
