Rather disappointing A romantic weekend for over 1,000 was booked months in advance to mark a milestone birthday. The hotel did not provide any prior information that the cable car from Weggis was not in operation due to maintenance and that the bathroom included in the package would also not be available on the day of departure due to maintenance work. The reception at the reception was friendly and ok. The room on the 4th floor was ok, but on 2 floors with a very steep staircase to the bedchamber. Furnishings are spartan and somewhat bland. No fridge! The mixer tap in the shower is defective and the shower is therefore not really usable as the water randomly switches back and forth between cold and extremely hot. The whole hotel is also a bit old and seems cold and carelessly furnished. The hotel is extremely child-friendly and as a childless couple you don't really feel welcome as a guest. In particular, the desire for a quiet table for a romantic dinner without children screaming is met with a great lack of understanding, especially by the tenant himself, who assigns the table on the second evening, and is not really respected. Children also enjoy absolute priority at the breakfast buffet, where it is tolerated that they use their bare hands to help themselves to the food laid out, such as salami or ham. There is also still a certain potential for improvement in terms of cuisine. While the starters are quite imaginative and tasty, the main courses of the special romantic menu were not really a highlight on both days. In particular, the veal steak that was served was still completely raw inside. The breakfast buffet is also rather bland and meager. In addition, the staff present in the morning speaks neither German nor English, which makes it extremely difficult to reorder the food that has run out at the buffet or order egg dishes. A major nuisance is the elevator, which is far too small and does not meet demand at all, and whose outdated controls lead to many pointless and unnecessary trips up and down several floors. It is also annoying that the lift is practically blocked by the cleaning staff, especially at the busiest times in the morning, which sometimes leads to waiting times of 10 minutes or more. The bathroom attached to the hotel is very nice in itself, but here too, families with children dominate the swimming area. Fortunately, the spa area is only accessible to those aged 16 and over, but there is also a high number of visitors here. The communication between the pool and the hotel regarding the use of the voucher that we had brought with us did not work, which meant that the remaining credit, which was still quite high, was not credited anywhere and was instead lost. The staff in the bathroom were also rather unfriendly and not very motivated. The bottom line is that the high price for the romantic weekend is absolutely unreasonable. The price-performance ratio is clearly not right.

We actually wanted to take the cable car up on Sunday, but the cable car will be overhauled from Monday. Therefore we had to move to Vitznau, not tragic but information from the hotel would be appropriate. When we arrived we were told that we could go to the bathroom at 8:00 a.m. There wasn 't a single bubble bath or massage jets running in the bathroom. The sauna and steam bath don 't open until 10:00 a.m. At the reception they said there was nothing we could do... Weak statement. You could contact them by phone. During the massage, I asked you to focus on your shoulders, chest and back. His statement: I can 't, they didn 't book it. You have to go to my colleague. The first time it wasn 't possible... We were also told to sign at the reception that we had received the massage. At the reception they said that it wasn 't necessary. On the last day I picked up food poisoning. We told reception what we suspected was what caused it, namely the vegetable lasagne. She replies: “It could also be a gastrointestinal virus.” Could be. To this day, the wife and children have been spared from it, even if it was a virus. I picked it up somewhere in the hotel. If hygiene regulations are adhered to, this should not happen. I would have thought it would have been nice if she had asked me if I needed anything. But she hasn 't. The location of the hotel is actually great. The wellness area was sufficiently large for our needs. But at the price with these services it 's a flop. There was only one gentleman (Southern guy) at the reception who was always very helpful and friendly.

Nicht nur Hotelgäste können hier in einem schönen Ambiente essen. Das was die Küche zu bieten hat ist fast immer lecker zubereitet. Besonders hervorzuheben war bei unserem Aufenthalt das Asiatische Nudelgericht wirklich Klasse zubereitet und gewürzt! .

Menü nach Wahl war im Arangement vorgesehen! Aber köstlich und schön dekoriert, genüsslich zum verweilen und im richtigen Zeitplan mit guter Konversation mit dem Personal! Einfach ein Genuss und eine hoch auf die Küche!So Gut, dass man zum Wiederholungstäter wird! Auch der Begleitung aus China hat dies ausgezeichnet gefallen und hervorragend geschmeckt!
