Bidrage med feedbackThis place was excellent. Found it through Yelp while on a week long trip to SW Colorado. It is truly special. The restaurant is as named in an Adobe style inn that also has 3 rooms for rent. Atmosphere was a definite plus, service was very good but what was outstanding was the food. Chips and salsa brought to the table before we ordered our meal was very tasty the chips were warm and the red salsa was seasoned with cilantro, which made it particularly good. Menu had several choices. We both had enchilada dinners. These dinners come with 2 enchiladas each and my wife asked for and got modified meal of one cheese and one chicken with different sauces on each with no problem while I had 2 enchiladas with cheese. The enchiladas were very good, again with some seasoning that made them much better than the norm. All dinners come with several sides salad or tostada, black or pinto beans, and corn casserole. We both chose the salad with Gorgonzola cheese, sunflower seeds and Italian dressing, which was a nice combo of flavors and textures. One of the highlights though was the corn casserole. It had a slightly sweet taste that was so good that we both wished was much bigger! We had plenty to eat so we did not sample any of the desserts. That will have to wait until next time as we will definitely be back!!
This place is amazing They're not your typical Mexican or even New Mexican restaurant, it's sort of their own farm-ish version of all that. Everything is delicious, just keep an open mind about things being a bit different than what you're used to. The chips are a mix of corn and flour tortilla chips, the salad is lightly dressed and fresh and wonderful, the beans are not gross canned refried beans but rather their own version with (I think) anasazi beans, and so on. I see complaints about the waiters in other reviews and I just don't get it unless there's been a staff change I missed. The man and woman who usually run the place are so warm and friendly, they'll make you feel like you're one of two tables they have even when it's busy. I brought my parents and I'm pretty sure the guy spent half an hour talking to my mom about music and traveling. Stay long enough and you'll see locals wander in just to say hi to the folks running it. In short it's probably my favorite homey spot west of the Rockies.
Like an aging porn star, this place is living off its past charms. From the sticky tables to the sweet pre-mix margaritas and the zombie wait staff you 'd be better to go gas station pre-made. Such a shame for a place with adobe fireplaces and views. The guacamole 'dip ' was brown and mild like a mud puddle and Chile rellenos like taquitos. Eeeeeesh, no gracias. Oh and even worse under cooked chips mixed with commercial grade store bought. For real?!
They can't run a restaurant, food is good but hostess and the waitress were terrible. They had our table for 2 ready when a group of 3 came in and they decided to bump us for another 15 minutes. I asked the waitress to please hold the guacamole because I am allergic to it. Well everything came out with guacamole and instead of remaking it they just scraped it off. A total let down.
Telluride prices and attitudes have infected Adobe.... Food was still decent, but now at the top end of the market.
