Bidrage med feedbackWe stopped here a few years ago while we ride the way of the roses and enjoyed an excellent coffee and a huge plate of made to house cake. Finally, he circled on this again today and wished we had not. the coffee was much too strong .and I like strong coffee the disc cake was tiny. the tables outside were plagued by puppies, although the outside of other farms were not. the service was also not great. will not be back.
Visited here after going to ingleborough caves, was hungry with the kids and other family members. It’s a small cozy place, but was told by the old lady she does not serve food after 2.30pm as she gets too tired. So all we could have...was a toasted tea cake or a cake with our hot drinks. Not great when kids are starving. There is a pub next door, so you could visit there. Will not visit again, which is shame really. Ended up drinking to the Lake District, which the kids enjoyed.
After visiting the Ingleborough caves we called in here for a bite to eat. Kids had Vanilla Milkshakes they absolutely loved them. Also loved the toasties, cheese was to die for, or so told. My wife and I had freshly made Scones with Jam...and Cream, lovely. Would recommend to anyone passing through the Village. From the outside it doesn't look great, don't let that put you off freshly made food lovely
Half of us had cycled and half of us had come by car with our twins and we arrived to be told that there would be a wait if we wanted food when there was just 2 of us and 2 babies when our 2...other family members arrived we were told too busy to serve 4 of us it would be too much for her. I work in the hospitality industry in London and I have never experienced anything like it. After the lack of welcome we received and also the doubt we would actually get any service we decided to go to the pub the New Inn which was delightful.
Called here on a bike ride one Sunday morning and couldn’t leave soon enough. Exec summary: consistently unwelcoming service from an old lady in a dirty apron. Recommendation: go to the lovely New Inn pub instead.
