Bidrage med feedbackThe food menu is extremely limited and the dishes were not tasty. Additionally, the prices were very high. The table sizes were small, making it difficult to comfortably dine with another person. There was a long line for the single toilet, which was not clean. I ordered a medium-sized chicken steak and potato salad, which cost £25 without drinks. The prices for drinks were also quite expensive, with a lemonade costing £5.70 and a pint of cider costing £7.90. However, the location by the riverside was very nice.
This restaurant is the closest thing to being in Germany without actually going there! My group ordered two sharing platters for 5 people and had plenty of delicious food, along with a few sides. The meatloaf was surprisingly my favorite dish. The location is fantastic and the staff is friendly and helpful.
The quality of the food at this restaurant has declined since our last visit. The dishes look and taste cheap, yet they charge exorbitant prices. The service was quick, but when I tried to order takeout, the waiter ignored me and took a long time to fulfill my request. The takeaway boxes were disorganized, with sausage portions and sides mixed up. This will be our last visit to this restaurant. I can easily find similar sausages at Lidl and my mash is much better for a fraction of the price they charge. I am willing to pay for quality, regardless of the location, but this restaurant does not meet my standards.
Beautiful setting, but VERY expensive for what it is. Service was friendly, if not necessarily efficient. We didn't use the app, but rather ordered and paid directly with the waiter. Just as an example of how pricey food can be, we odered the Nuernberger Sausage main dish which come with 6 (yes you read it right, six) tiny sausages and a lot of sauerkraut, mash potato and salad garnish for £16.90! Ridiculous. Won't be coming back any time soon!
We made an impromptu stop here with the kids on our river walk in it’s our dog. Sat outside despite the cold thanks to the small heaters by the table and fur rugs to sit on. In true biergarten style, the beaches are quite uncomfortable to sit, but the food, the view and the staff make up for it. We had a variety is sausages, cheese spread and schnitzels, hot chocolates and beer. Will return, as always.
