Kove kitchen. The food one would never expect from a pub style place. Clam chowder loaded with local crab is probably the best I have ever tasted. Ling cod, though not the finest of fish if cooked to perfection and not excessively seasoned tests like heaven. Young ladies hosting us were very charming and sweet. Surprisingly cozy for a pub.
Came here for dinner on Monday night. Great service, nice atmosphere. Ordered the set menu entrees were bangers and mash and salmon. Food was very good, not great typical bar menu but with a bit of a twist. I would definitely return!
On Canada Day I was craving poutine like a Canadian that I am, so my friend and I stopped by here just to try it out. They have a patio but since it was very windy that day we sat inside instead. I was happy with the service and food. Will probably come back again for more of what they offer! Perhaps try getting seated in the patio if the weather is good the next time I go :
My brothers and I have a tendency to be last-minute planners when it comes to Mother's Day and Father's Day. Although we never forget the day itself, we often forget that booking a reservation for a large group on these holidays requires more than just a few days' notice. this year, when my older brother realized that Father's Day was quickly approaching and we still hadn't secured a restaurant for our group of nine, he slyly tasked both my younger brother and me with making reservations without informing us that he had told the other person to do the same. His plan was to make it difficult for us to get a reservation so that only one of us would succeed. However, things didn't go as planned. I ended up booking a table at Trafalgar's Bistro in Kitsilano, while my younger brother made a reservation at Kove Kitchen in Steveston. Since I am the only one in our family who doesn't live in Richmond, we ultimately went with Kove Kitchen. I still can't understand why my older brother didn't just take on the task of making the reservations himself.
