The Generator Urban Eatery - Reservoir

My sister, my mum and I had lunch here. From the outside it looks like an old milk bar, but once you get in it, the decor was very eclectic and amazing. We each had a latte, which was good. I had the famous potato cake with pulled pork, my sister had poached eggs with bacon and hollandaise. Both were presented very well and delicious. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves good food and coffee.

I have been to enough cafes across Melbourne to write this comment: This is definitely one of the best cafes in Melbourne. The food is delicious especially the vegetarian ones.

They are always willing to do a reasonable vegan substitution. Even if not available on uber eats, if I put it as a note, they will always give me extra spinach as a vegan substitution for egg. I feel really welcome eating here, as a vegan. Plus they do a vegan brownie, so I'm always happy.

The first time I noticed this place I thought my goodness it's about to collapse! I can assure you it's not. Best quirky, funky eating joint around. I love all the options, the menu presentation is a little full on for neuro-divergent brains but doable. The food is delicious, jalapeno poppers are my absolute favourite. The coffee is divine and the service is wonderful. Loads of vege, gf, animal options. Will definitely keep coming back.

Great food first time having this fried sandwich and it was amazingly tasty and with the tomato chutney it up lift the test to the next level!
