Restaurant Avia - Regensburg

We arrived at the Avia Hotel after a long trip from the US. What a wonderful first meal in Germany. The service was attentive, the setting elegant and the food outstanding. From the outside one would not suspect that.

Superb big game dishes and great wines to accompany it. Apart from that: a fine variety of other dishes are served as well. The restaurant is worth having dinner, even if you are not a hotel guest!

Although this restaurant was in the hotel it was widely pationised by non residemts The service was excellent and a nice menu well presented. It was popular such that it was fully booked some nights.It was a pleasant change to have a good restaurant in where I was stayingk

Sober and in the years come equipment; waiting hall atmosphere, plastic flowers on the table; unspectacular map, strange compilations (rumpsteak with rice?! , for this high price class. service nice, but not exceptional.
