Hofbraeuhaus Regensburg

We went around the city and thought here to be a short warm lunch. service was good and fast. I had a big bowl of chicken soup that hit the place perfectly. my wife had the same, but followed with some bratkartoffeln, also very good. I had a bright beer (natural) and my wife had a few laughs. we were both satisfied and were able to put ourselves out the cold again.

My wife and I went to dinner. the waitress was rude and indifferent. we sat with another couple on a table, not a traditional bench/table, than there were clear tables. the beer was good and the food was ok. definitiw NOT...Representative of the arbor dunes! we will not return to hofbräuhaus regensburg.

We visited here as we had 6 years earlier. Once again, lovely food from a great menu, and super beer. It was very busy on a mid week evening showing how popular it is with locals. We will be back.

Terrific old beer hall - high ceilings, beautiful wood paneling, nice old wooden floors and furniture plus the nice touch of newspapers on traditional reading racks. Waitresses in Bavarian costume complete the scene. Great schnitzels, salads (with delicious potato salad) draught beer and white wine. The nicest place for a meal that we found in central Regensburg. €49.30 for two seemed very reasonable.
