1724 Downtown Grill - Redding

I've only been here for 20 minutes but diggin' the vibe

This is a great bar for grownups. Elegantly designed decor, well thought out menu and an excellent staff. There is a trought of fine ice along the length of the bar which might help to keep your drink cold but whether it does or not it is definitely cool to look at. The drinks seemed reasonably priced as does the food menu which is comprised mostly of sandwiches and designer pizzas. The patrons ranged in age from their late twenties to the over 60 crowd. All were well dressed and well behaved. Being located right across the street from the Cascade Theatre it can be very busy before and after a popular act.

Love this place, relaxed and low key in the afternoon! Bartenders are super sweet and accommodating!

Fun place to play chess. Very proficient bartender. Never seen a solo bartender handle such a huge crowd and still stay ahead.

Great bar, if a little pricey, but the drinks are excellent and it's definitely more of a local atmosphere while remaining classy.
