Papa Baldy's Pizza - Red Deer

I'm not sure this place wants to be a seat. Our family came for lunch and there were exactly two tables and four chairs (although there is plenty of space for more). When we tried to place an order, we said they had no cheese pizza. Wait... what? The guy who took the order dropped a terrible vibe (obvily didn't want us there) so we left. We're not coming back.

We moved to Red Deer and Papa Baldy's 2 1/2 years ago. We loved her pizza! It was delicious! Pizza tasted and looked brilliant. We told everyone we knew about Papa Baldys. We took the city guests to their restaurant. Her pizza was shown as in pictures above. Not anymore. Last year or so we noticed that the quality goes down, but we kept the order, hoping that “this time” the pizza would be like before. A few days ago we made another purchase for pizza and spaghetti and meatballs. The pizza with toppings is now less than 1/2 the thickness it was earlier. Also the pizza with cheese golden brown.. now it is so dark brown and borders on pizza dried and almost tasteless. My husband's spaghetti and meatballs were so dry (hard every sauce) that we opened a glass of pasta sauce to heat up and add to his meal! I called and asked me to talk to the owner... to let them know how disappointing their food is now. Was insured owner would call back, but we have not been contacted so far. Sorry, but after more than 3 x disappointed we are looking for a new pizza place!

Always enjoy the pizza from these guys. Maybe one of the best around. Usually you only delivered it, but tonight I decided to pick up because I ran the supplies. Doesn't look like they're following a Kovid protocol. No masks on use, partitions or any such barrier. Dealing with money and food.. I don't know what all the rules are, but didn't seem to follow any new health codes. I think I'll stay to get my pizza delivered

I heard a lot of this place and when they moved close to me, I thought I would try. Service was good. Wings were excellent drivers friendly. I wanted a Greek pizza, but they only have a Mediterranean that was like that. I had to eat it with a fork because I couldn't pick up a disc. I'll try them again, because it was very tasty, but I prefer to get the slice.

All the reviews made it sound like this place was great. Pizza was good with lots of toppings and cheese. Sauce was not super tasty. Donair poppers were very good
