Bidrage med feedbackOur first time eating here, and I will say it was surprisingly nice experience. They start off with such a generous portion of pita bread with olive oil/olives. We also had a starter of spicy feta, we all loved it! I would highly recommend the spicy feta if you are a fan of spicy foods. We were indecisive as far as what to order for our entree but our waitress helped and told us to order the meat platter, as if would definitely be enough for the 3 of us with leftovers for takeaway. (She was right). The chicken was juicy and very tasty, gyro was ok, a bit on the dryer side and the bifteki was juicy and full of flavor. We had a side of Greek Fries (recommended) and spinach and rice. Totally worth the $40. We finished up with Greek coffee and baklava, both very tasty and baklava was not too sweet, which we appreciated. Now the service was a bit off, waitress was slammed with tables and seemed to be the only person taking orders, and was completely overwhelmed. The manager/owner was out helping but they were definitely short staffed. I would definitely still recommend the restaurant and come back again.
In the mood for delicious Greek food, this place is perfect! We ate at the restaurant and the waitress was so warm and welcoming. Service was excellent. Our glasses were always filled with water without asking and they were very attentive. My 5 year old daughter ordered from the kids menu (limited choices) and ordered linguine and meatballs. She liked it but sauce was a little sweet and didn’t like the meatballs. However, our food was so good see photos. We started with calamari appetizer. It was seasoned well and we loved the marinara that went with it. The tzatziki sauce was very fresh and delicious. The portions were big and we took the left over food home, reasonable priced and BOYB. We will go back for sure.
A good BYO place in Redbank. We’ve been to this place several times and always have been impressed with the quality of the food and the attentive service. Convenient to the train station and the Two River theater complex, the restaurant is a good choice pre-performance. There is a nice selection of desserts offered at reasonable prices.
An extensive 5 page menu is sure to offer something for everyone. I followed our waitress’ suggestions for new options and enjoyed it all. Note- there are 2 entrances (one tucked away by the parking lot, the other off of Bridge Ave where you get the takeout) and 2 dining areas (3 if you count the seats in the takeout area).
We dined at the Greek Spot Restaurant for the first time on Saturday night. We reserved a table earlier and it was ready when we arrived. (Be sure to go in the side door, we needlessly walked around the front. The restaurant is BYOB so bring a bottle of wine or beer, most tables did. We were pleased with the authentic menu over a plate of pita, olives and oil set off on a sampling course. For appetizers we had the Keftedakia (seasoned Greek meatballs and a Spanakopitakia (homemade spinach pie both of which were great. For dinner we got 2 hot entries to share, the Rotisserie Lamb (huge! And the Eliniki Pitela (a trio of Moussaka, Pastiche, Yemista both dishes came with a side of lemon potatoes. Needless to say it was a lot of food for 2 and take out containers were filled later. All the dishes were also great. We couldn't leave without sampling the Baklava which was perfectly cooked and just sweet enough to close the dinner. Coffee would have been great but we had no room. We will definitely be back and provide an excellent recommendation for The Greek Spot Restaurant.
