Cafe Loret - Red Bank

Our first dining experience this evening. We have dined at Dennis Foy's near BayHead years ago. HIs food is exceptional. The crab tian delicious!!! Veal bolognese was good and I enjoyed Halibut! Fresh and fabulous. Service and dining experience the utmost professional. A very nice friendly atmosphere. Its BYO AND I recommend a reservation.

Limited but Fine menu. Coffee expensive but mediocre. Specials are pricey yet a good value because of quality of ingredients and execution.

First let me say that our waiter ,James, was excellent and truly cared about our opinions. There was a huge buildup from the staff about our appetizers, the Tian of Crab and the cold cucumber soup. Was not impressed with the crab at all, an appy with a $20 price tag, I found the soup interesting and worth the venture. My steak with frits and béarnaise sauce was an absolute ripoff. It was cooked just the way I liked it but it was a poor tough cut of beef, pictured a five dollar steak from Best Market, the outside was crusted with burnt onion which did not allow any taste the béarnaise may have had to come through. The Desserts were unimpressive (think Shoprite sale isle) .

Everything was delicious. everyone so cordial. we will definitely be back.
