Kogiya Korean Bbq - Ravensworth

Bug bbq fan, always wanna try new places. Went here last Sunday to check them out. The place was very crowded and seating was tight. Also the menu selection is very small. the food was good though and sides were good. However, the place is a bit tiny and it all was very smoky, and it was hot. They need to get the grills that take the smoke out immediately from the grill. Service was helpful and quick.

Food was of pretty good quality and the staff help you cook it at the grill on your table, with banchan dishes served as starters. Service is very prompt and efficient. The portions are gigantic- we ordered a large group meat meal which was way too much for 4 adults and 2 kids, even though the menu implied the smaller size meal was for 2 adults only. I don’t know how anyone can eat this much meat and shrimp! The tables are crammed together in the restaurant with too little space between them, and the chairs are so fragile they prone to disassembly. The restaurant is too loud, and it’s difficult to hear other people at your table as a result. Kid-friendliness: I would not bring a group of young kids here or kids that are too young due to the placement of grills in the middle of the table.

Never disappoints! So thankful they take reservations now. Otherwise, there will be a long wait, unless you are there as soon as they open. We had “all you can eat” option and chose to cook at the table ourselves. The staff will cook at the table for you if you’d prefer.

The air conditioning was not working. It got hotter while we were eating. Additionally, they didn't change the grill pan throughout the meal, and the dining environment was sticky and not very clean. I believe we can find another better place in Annadale.
