Café Del Sol - Randburg

Been many times to this restaurant but this time was disappointed. Thought they had sold out to one of the chains as felt the finesse/quality was no longer there, Sorry.

New restaurant in blueberry center has no accoustic design had to scream to hear each other. Waiter got starter order and timing wrong. Carbonara not traditional no egg yoke just cream. Could not get my coffee out the same time as other people’s desserts. I think management has not trained staff. I would give it a miss there lots of better options:

Had a bad experience with the Manager Zori at Cafe del Sol Olivedale on 14 February. On arrival we were seated at a table right in the entrance of the dining area. When I enquired of Zori whether we could be moved to one of the other 8 open tables, I was rudely informed No and that all tables were reserved. This despite us having a reservation. Fortunately, one of the other managers came to our rescue, and we were seated at another table. By the time we left the restaurant after more than 2 hours, nobody had been seated at our original table. Bad attitude and rudeness spoiled what could have been a pleasant outing. Seems Zori does not care about her customers.

An updated menu and another incredible mouthwatering dining experience!! I have been visiting this Little Italian Gem in Olivedale for 7 years now and to date I have not been disappointed! This is authentic Italian food at its best! Yes, the meals are fairly pricey but I assure you that you have been part of the experience, you will be back Irrespective of the price. Make sure you get there early as limited portions are made fresh daily and once it’s done, it’s done!
