La Quinta Cliffhouse - Rancho Mirage

As you drive into the parking lot you are welcome by the friendly valet parking service. You go up the stairs of amazing rocks and waterfall very nice place. You have the option on indoor seating and outdoor seating available. Recommended to seat outside with amazing views. The bad part is when you walk through the restrooms there is a very bad smell as you walk outside to the balcony. Service is good ! Food is ok , not great I was expecting a wow from the food quality but the steaks

This is the ideal restaurant to go to for a date night or a special occasion. The food and drinks are amazing, and the ambiance is perfect for romance or getting reacquainted with someone. There is ample outdoor seating on their deck which overlooks their waterfall. And keep an eye out for the ram statute atop the hillside. Our reservation was for after the sun went down, but I think this would be a beautiful place to watch the sunset. Our favorite appetizer were the bacon wrapped dates. My husband was a little skeptical at first as he’s not a big date eater, but he was quickly made into a convert (and you will be too, if you try them). Husband had the rigatoni for his meal, but I ordered the seafood stew, and it was unreal! If you like spicy food, just ask your server to have the chef turn up the heat, and they will spice it for you expertly. It was also a large portion, so I had plenty of leftovers for the next day. Didn’t have room for dessert, but they had a wide array of delicious looking selections, so next time I will try to remember that. Overall, an amazing night, and one that will not soon be forgotten.

Wow, what a beautiful scenery! This restaurant has it all! You first enter the restaurant next to a pond and go over a staircase on the cliff to enter the main restaurant where you are greeted by the waiter and are taken to your table (make sure to make a reservation ahead of time! . The ambiance in the restaurant is great. There is also plenty of outdoor seating overlooking the city from atop, with a magnificent view during sunset. There is also a waterfall and a ram statue. As for the food, the price vs taste is pretty good. There is plenty of food on your plate, and it also tastes great! The steaks are very good and they will get it exactly to your liking. Overall, everything about this place is great in regards to food! The servers are very kind and friendly as well. They do their best to accommodate you and make sure you are not missing anything. A huge props to them! Overall, the experience you get at this restaurant is unlike any other because of its environment. A must try for anyone living in or visiting the valley!

Wonderful place for happy hour as well as dinner. Our bartender Mario was very attentive and took great care of our party! It’s truly amazing how this restaurant is built into a cliff. We had the happy hour burger and fries and the short rib. Both were excellent!

Food is good but is not amazing. For those prices I would expect something better but is good. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is just great I love the waterfall they have. My favorite dish was the cilantro corn soup. In the photo is the ceviche and was good.
