Gelson's Rancho Mirage

I usually don't shop at Gelson's. But I heard they had the best sushi! So I picked up some and I agree it is the best sushi I ever had. And it is made by Red Shell sushi. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We'll be going for sushi from now on

I had never been to a Gelson's. Since I would be going right by it on an adventure I decided to pull into the parking lot and check it out. It is an absolutely beautiful store. Much larger than I had expected. It would be great for handing wheelchair. Everything you could possibly be found there....deli area so enticing. But a friend mentioned she could no longer afford to go there. It didn't take me long to see exactly what she was talking about. The prices were by far the highest I have seen in Coachella Valley. So I ended up purchasing two crab cakes, and that was it. Alas, I wish could afford to shop there.

Staff very friendly. Store items over-priced; especially deli items. Food at food bar unappealing, very dry, not fresh and flavorful. Only salad bar ok.

Only thing more I could wish for it to have store locations on the east coast where I reside full time. First class Grocery while competitively priced. Will be back often.

Marc at the meat counter and Rickie at checkout. These guys are terrific. Plus we met a new girl just started bagging groceries. She was so pleasant. All the folks working the deli are the best. Your man in charge of the booze inventory does a great job. The food is the best the service and the people make the difference and is why we have made Gelson s our go to store! Thank you.
