J. Alexander's - Raleigh

It is a great place to visit. My only complaint is that the water did not taste well. The staff was friendly and accommodating. There was a lot of food, we had nothing. All we ordered was delicious, including the Ahi salad, cod, chips and dip, and fish sandwich. We enjoyed the soothing lighting. Tables were illuminated with real candles. We found it clean. Our party of six had plenty of room at the booth. There was a lot of parking. We were greeted by the hostess with a smile, and she passed us. The experience was wonderful.

Great service from the hostess. My chicken potter was delicious. The wine was great. The carrot cake was one of the best I ever got in a restaurant. Overall, it was a great experience for my first time to visit this restaurant. Goldie, Raleigh NC

Every visit is wonderful! The hosts, waiters, managers and bartenders are service-driven. They create such a soothing and pleasant atmosphere. Travis was wonderful to help me find out what happened that day. His recommendations were for our meals at our local drinks. The managers definitely talked to Dessert. The carrot cake! Just go and enjoy.

It’s the husband’s birthday. We went to J. Alexander’s for the his birthday dinner. Walking in, we were greeted by a trio of smiling women who cheerfully welcomed us. Once seated we ordered our handcrafted martinis and delicious appetizer. Julia, our wonderfully funny server, listed the night’s specials. Though the menu is amazing, definitely listen to the nightly specials (and ask for Julia). We both picked from the specials he had the BBQ Rotisserie chicken and I had the Steak Brazzo. They were absolutely amazing. We ended the meal with two absolutely superb desserts. Thank you J. Alexander for a wonderful birthday dinner and Julia for taking such great care of us.

I am a fan of J. Alexander's in Atlanta so when I saw this location near my hotel, it was an easy choice for dinner. I usually travel alone for work so I often choose to sit at the bar. I was greeted promptly and enjoyed a craft cocktail as I waited for my food. The salad was fresh and a generous portion. The fried shrimp dinner was delicious and served with yummy shoestring fries and cold slaw. I didn't get the bartender's name but she was kind and attentive.
