Melao Cafe Creamery - Rahway

The lattes are so good! So many different flavors and the quality of the espresso is amazing!!! It was recommended that I pair it with a pastry and I have no regrets! My favorite coffee shop!

If i can give this place nega stars I would. I ordered a sandwich Turkey Panini the bread was soggy the whole sandwich fell apart if I took a bite it was like I was eating soaking wet bread thats been running underwater. The Custom Waffle does not look like the photo its a diff shape/texture it was ice cold and hard as a rock I would not recommend this place unless you want wet bread

I am a huge fan. But today was a disaster, egg in avocado toast was almost burnt, had no salt or flavor at all, the panini was an all time favorite and it was totally different from the serving presentation, bread burnt too, huge tomato no pesto flavor, too little turkey. What happened????

Melao is a quirky town coffeeshop with great rolled icecream, funky seating, and good service. Staff seem to be very kind and teenagers/young people from the neighborhood. Pastries seem fresh and there are juices available. They have a range of waffles,sandwiches, vegan options and so on. Seating is usually available. I?ve had iced coffees and frappes here which are more likedesserts and their coffee is decent but not stellar at all (Stellar is Blue Bottle or Abraco in NYC) but it?s a decent coffeenonetheless. Not many people mask here for safety and the hours are excellent for Rahway times since many businesses closeearly.

I absolutely love everything about melao. the ice cream is great and the coffee is even better. all the employees are so kind and the ambience of the cafe is so comfortable to spend time in.
