Sal's Italian Pizzeria West End Radford

Generally speaking, pizza consist of three parts. Your dough, your sauce and your cheese. The dough and the cheese at Sal’s are good. But your sauce is definitely lacking! Also, Please, stop throwing those dry herbs on top of the pizza! Anybody who really knows Italian knows that throwing dried herbs on top of your food is sacrilege. Please stop it!

An absolute great spot to have some delicious Italian food with homemade fresh bread, with a great waiter named Fernando. However, Please add blue moon beer on draft!!!

Food was fantastic and service was top-notch. I had the Cash which is fantastic. The bread and salad was great as well. Sals is probably the best Italian food I’ve had in Virginia.

I was vacationing in the area and found Sal's through a Google Maps search. The good reviews were accurate ?. It was so good, we went back a 2nd time before we left the area. Our group had both great service and great food. The pizza was really good with a perfect crust. I remember the salads were also big in size and able to be shared. We had the fried calamari appetizer with marinara sauce and it was devoured quickly. It's way more than a pizza place, with a full selection of classic Italian entrees. Great staff and service make this a go-to restaurant.

Been going for many years and we love it. Everything is outstanding except the steak calzone. The menu says sliced steak but honestly the “meat” has the consistency and taste of cheap steak ‘em pieces that are torn apart. I ask the waiter about it and was blown off. The rest of my party enjoyed their meal and I’ll return but with the knowledge that they serve steakem calzones ?
