Bidrage med feedbackWe were not in the time, we thought we would check it again. the first thing we noticed was bad ambiente for 7 o'clock dinner, bright lights that only noticed me in the ground that the place needs an overhaul. chairs st the bar cunning, smell like old beer, not sure why we stayed? eating was very hard, not a tempting salad. the only plus was the bartender, she was pleasant!
A friend of mine mentioned this place a few times before the pandemic. I'm glad I could finally get there. Interesting place in a busy section of Quincy. The food is really good. BIG PORTIONS!!! The Crabcakes were some of the best I've had in Mass, I grew up in Maryland, so I know Crabcakes . The spicy aoli is good, it adds depth of flavor but still let the Crabcake flavor through. I got the Fat Cat Philly with Truffle Fries. BIG, but very tasty. They have several flavors of fries on the menu. Real good flavor on the Philly. The Mac and Cheese is the best mac I've ever had, soo good. I know, your mom makes the best Mac ev'ah right? WRONG! This will open your world to how good a Mac and Cheese can be and don't even think about going back to KFC or Chick fil a after this. You could drink the garlic cream sauce in a straw and it would be awesome. BIG. REALLY BIG. You can feed 4 people with this. Unless you are carb loading for the marathon, do not get this alone. You can also add meats for an additional charge. The bartender was super nice. She mentioned that their drinks have a kick to them, so be warned. Another thing is that the bathrooms for this place aren't in the restaurant but across the hall. They were not well maintained when I was there, I'm not sure if the building manager or the restaurant is responsible for that so I will not let it effect my score, but as patrons be warned. Parking is not great in the area as well, but you can walk there from Quincy Center. Definitely worth visiting, bring friends
Ate here this Saturday. I can say service was great and accommodating. Food was on point. I would def come here again, or recommend this to anyone looking for a nice place to watch the game or just have lunch dinner.
I loved Fat Cat in their previous location, and I am still a fan. The new location is a little bit bigger, which helps because they don't take reservations. The beers on tap look to be mostly local companies, and that makes me happy: Widowmaker, Downeast, Night Shift, etc The portion of Mac and Cheese is still a ridiculous plate bigger than your head size! I get at least 3 meals out of it. Lots of tasty menu options and you really can't go wrong. My favorites are the haystacks, pulled pork sandwich, fried fish sandwich, and lobster Mac and cheese. I sat at the bar today and liked seeing the decor nod to the previous location but still be part of this newer location. I don't recommend this location to groups any larger than 4 for regular dinning. It's a popular spot and there are very few tables that allow more than 4 for seating.
I felt compelled to write a review for this place after I had their lobster Mac cheese last night. We used to frequent this place when we lived in Quincy, but it's been a few years since we've moved. Yesterday, we went over a friends house who had a spread of wings and pasta take out from Fat Cat. The wings were OK hence the 4 star instead of 5 , but the Lobster Mac Cheese ... phenomenal. Mind you, this was takeout and we were late, but still the lobster Mac cheese was still delish. Flavorful and garlic y! Yummm who doesn't love garlic. If you don't like garlic, you don't deserve to go on yelp. Just kidding. But yeah try the lobster mac cheese.
