Great breakfast pastries and coffee to go. Also the perfect place to go for a grab and go lunch. Excellent, locally grown produce. I could have eaten all of the desserts as well! Friendly clerks and and a well kept place. We will definitely come back!!

Swell place. Has stuff you don 't find elsewhere, especially out here in the boonies. Nice people who are happy to see you there. Not the lowest cost alternative but you get what you pay for. You can actually find things like milk with cream in it and locally produced eggs. Believe it or not, the produce actually tastes better even though it sometimes does not look like it. The bigger store is in Qunicy and there is a smaller one in Portola, which is the east side of the county right on state route 70 so it 's easy to find. Almost forgot to mention American Valley Bakery French Stubby bread. I 'm somewhat saying this against my best interest, as it could cause a run on the stuff and I might never see another loaf for myself, but if you like bread, try it. Especially try it as toast. Mmmmm.
