Bidrage med feedbackMy boyfriend and i finally decided to give this a try since we were looking for somewhere to eat after our classes in UP.. we ordered 'steak rice' and 'alo keema' with peeta. they described the steak rice as meal with soup but no soup came :( they also forgot to serve the keema for my boyfriend so i was finished eating when we asked for follow up and that was when they started to cook.. the servers were also eating by that time and the chef actually cooked their food first instead of ours :( was really disappointed, the steak rice was just an omelet with shredded beef, lacking of flavor so i just put lots of garlic and chillis sauce.. the keema tasted good but my bf was really upset by the time we got to eat haysus :(
Ordered the following: Special Keema- Lacks spices & flavor. Served with cold half cup rice. Looks like a kiddie meal to me. Chicken Shashlik (photo not included) Imagine chicken strips with ketchup and chillies. Served like a kiddie meal too. That's Not What You Think -Meh. Soup served with rice. Beef biryani- Not too bad. But add few pesos and you can eat a way better version some place else. Beef shawarma- Meh. Sauces didn't taste good too. Not going back. Not worth it.
My go-to place in UP. Comfort food at its finest. I've ordered almost everything here and I have no complaints, except perhaps the serving size, which is a bit small. But for the price, you can order another meal. The chef is ultra-friendly as she's known me as a regular customer, and she knows hos I like my food (spicy) and cooks my orders the way she knows I'd like them. Servers are very friendly too. This place is great for a student budget, but sometimes the place gets crowded. My favourites are the lon dam mong soup (sinigang-like with chicken and squid pieces), and their mango shake. Again, do be mindful of the size; you might find the food very tasty yet not enough to be filling! (Just order more ????)
Llon Dam Mong, Ox Brain, Jambalaya and Banana Lassi. Must try. Good food, reasonable price. Just tell the waitress if you want spicy or not.
Located inside UP Diliman, near the Parish of the Holy Sacrifice, this restaurant offers a variety of Indian/Middle Eastern food. We recently ate at this restaurant and we noticed that the quality of food has significantly degraded. I miss the good old Khas, when the food was close to authentic. It was really good. A lot of people were coming back for it. The food today is just ok, something that you will not miss. The saving grace for us was when we walked outside and located nearby is the famous and legendary Mang Larry's Isawan. People who are always in UP know how well-known this stall is.
