Bidrage med feedbackMy partner and I were visiting from Auckland, I am originally from Canada, and decided to stop in for a coffee which turned into having lunch. We were initially seated in the back near a door that was constantly being used by the waitstaff and customers heading to the bathrooms. The door would slam shut every few seconds, prompting us to ask to be moved. The waitress who assisted us in moving our two coffees and two plates was not very friendly or eager to help. Additionally, the lady at the counter was yelling out orders loudly, making it difficult for the waitress to take our order amidst the chaos. The lady at the counter appeared to be quite rude to other tourists who were struggling with their English. Despite these challenges, the food and coffee were delicious, and one of the waitresses we encountered was very kind. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
During our first night in Queenstown, we decided to go out for dinner. To our surprise, most restaurants in the area closed around 9-10pm. After wandering around, we stumbled upon a restaurant with enticing daily specials displayed outside. We decided to give it a try and were pleasantly surprised. Our waiter was friendly and helped us choose our dishes. I ordered a lamb salad (a recommendation from the waiter) and my husband got the cheese plate and bruschetta. One word: amazing! The lamb was incredibly tender and paired perfectly with the lettuce, tomatoes, and spices. The bruschetta was served on delicious bread with pesto sauce, and the cheese plate was impressively large. Don't miss out on that! The restaurant also offers free wifi. We may visit this place again before leaving Queenstown.
Fast service. Good taste. Outside alcohol not allowed inside premises but you can consume outside in their sitting area. I ordered beer battered fish n chips. Was delicious.
We had a really nice dinner here last night. The beef pie was amazing! We also had good beer and wine. We came here for happy hour (between 4:30pm-5:30pm) on another day. The drinks were $5. Great deal!
Great little breakfast spot. It has a large roaring fire in the back that you can sit by and keep warm and eat your breakfast. I really enjoyed this place , the food was prepared well. It came in large portions, and the coffee was good. The price was fair as well. Did I mention the service was excellent as well? Don't miss this spot for breakfast.
