Fat Fish Westville - Queensburgh

This is a quaint neighborhood setup perfect for a mid week date. Food is fresh and cooked home style. I had a very delicious red Roman caught by the owner that morning. Be sure to ask what the specials and recommendations are. Also be sure to make a booking. Homemade Malva pudding for dessert was a winner

I had the Kings Combo special today which was a combination to King prawns and Yellow Tail Salmon. Food was brilliant. Subtle spicing allowed the flavor of the fish to shine through and dishes are kept simple. Please bear in mind that menu is basic and you pay separately for sides but food this good is well worth it. Portions are excellent and the food is always consistent.

I went to The Fat Fish for the first time and I was blown away by the quality of their produce. <br/ <br/ I had the hake and prawns and it was amazing! I had a side of slaw , tartar sauce and chips but I felt the chips lacked imagination perhaps a seasoning option on the chips should be offered like a lemon and garlic which will pair well with the fish or even a chilli salt option but something along those lines.<br/ <br/ But with that said I have no issues in recommending The Fat Fish.

Honestly one of the best seafood places in Durban! Very laid back environment where the owner is happy to recommend and gets it spot on! Delicious!!
