Food was great, the lady rolling the hand rolls was so pleasant and nice! The reason for three stars it the hostess at Temakase Long Island City was so off putting. From the moment we walked in to ordering our food, she's the reason we give this place less stars. Have your reservation confirmation with you and don't trust her with any menu questions.

Came to dinner tonight and was extremely underwhelmed. I'm driving handrolled spots and that was by far the worst I've ever had. so much is wrong. reis was boiled, as sushi restaurant should this a BASIC reels come too fast. my friend and I were still in the middle of eating a roll when the next came. we either found ourselves stuffing one to keep up with the tempo or soggy seeweed for the next roll to eat. we had only been sitting for 10 minutes and were already on our FOURTH role. what is the hurry? Some of the rolls were filled in the back toro decorated funky give them this place 2 stars (instead of 1,) because at least that was eatable, but honestly the money was not worth at all.
