Bidrage med feedbackVery good food. we liked all the dishes we ordered. the grilled pullet was excellent. the carving was huge! garnel in lemon, carpaccio and pasta were all good. the restaurant is a little loud.
It's a lovely place. Some great vegan options. I'd love to see some more gluten free options though. It's a bit pricey. My family and I really enjoyed it overall.
This review is based on a Saturday noon lunch (Company of eight dinners): The first thing you will notice about Tavola is it’s location at the end of a beautiful street lined with old tree. The second thing you will encounter is that the restaurant have only a handful parking lots available for customers, so hunting for a parking spot in nearby streets may be challenging. All the appetizers we orders we yummy. The bread was freshly baked, and comes with two small bowls, one filled with spiced olive oil, and the other filled with dried tomatoes paste with olive oil and garlic. The carpaccio was okay, but I would probably skip it in the future. The roasted vegetables came with a nice pesto sauce on the side. For the entrees, all were very good. I like to recommend the goat cheese ravioli with chestnuts, and the fried lentils “meat balls” (this is a vegetarian dish). These dishes were somewhat unique for a restaurant that define its menu as Italian. The vegetarian shepherds pie was also satisfying, and the shrimp plate was good (see images below). Overall the food was very good and service was pleasant but a bit slow. I ranked the experience as 4 of 5, for two reasons: first, the restaurant was filled with many dinner all seated in one large space. As such it was noisy and almost impossible to have a conversation with people seated around our table. Second, the restaurant is pricy to the degree that we all decided not to order desert.
The food was delicious We were a large party and everyone was happy!.and they have several vegan options
Used to really like this restaurant but now feels like it’s been neglected. The service was terrible we got our food before any water or drinks. And it was easy to tell that the first courses had been reheated somehow. The main dishes were ok, but none of us finished and we came in very hungry. The restaurant is definitely in need of some loving as it’s in a beautiful location and has a lot of potential to serve local and tourist clientele.
