Kite House Cafe And - Puttalam

For the demanding outdoor experiential traveler, this is on my list of accommodations to check. Experience was worth my trip from Colombo. Great hosts and friendly staff. Altogether simple but beautifully designed space that shows how much love can be brought into the production of a place. The food is excellent, and Kitehouse Cafe is worth visiting alone for the food. In a kind of larger area considered quite sacred, it would be worth spending a few days here to a minimum, as it is really a pretty magical place. I'm inspired to go back, just remember.

So the Kite house is much more than a hostel when we came here, we thought we were staying for 2 weeks, but finally we stayed for almost 2 months and this place became our home. The hosts (the good friends were) are really nice and helped us with everything we needed, everything! From good advice where you travel to good laughs and parties. And now we can talk about food, DIES is the best FOOD IN SRI LANKA, every dish we ordered, we were surprised how good it was! They also offer kite trips and it is an amazing adventure, you get the beautiful kite spots!

A friend and I grew up here after a long stint on busy trips and couldn't get back and feel at home from the very beginning. We were pretty late, but Anais was waiting for us. The food was just perfect and cheap and everyone would get out of the way to help us. We even returned a few weeks later, because we couldn't stay away! Surrounded by beautiful landscape, interesting history and a beautiful neighborhood it could not be what we needed anymore. Thank you.

We had lunch and dinner here in our week in the area. Best pizzas ever and the pulled pig slaughter is excellent. It is a relaxed place and very well run. Go and eat when you're close. It's worth it.

This place is a little paradise, i was suppose to stay only one night, now i m since more than 10 days. Staff are really friendly and food is amazing. You have specially to try pizza and brownies!!! Don't miss those! Just in the front you have the best spot around to practice kitesurfing better than kapalady lagoon which is more gusty). Come and let's you enchant by this place. Cheers
