The Globe Inn - Purbeck

I made a reservation for Sunday lunch while staying in Herston Cross, and although the pub's interior is not the most attractive, the Sunday lunch was impeccable. I opted for the vegetarian choice, beetroot wellington, while my husband had a roast. Both dishes were served piping hot, incredibly delicious, and were great value for money.

We had a wonderful day walking along the Herston Trail and decided to stop in at this restaurant while passing through Harmon Cross. The beer was great, the staff were fantastic, and the garden was lovely. We have visited this pub during holidays in the past, but it now seems even more welcoming and a perfect spot to spend a sunny afternoon. If there weren't so many pubs between here and the White Horse, we would have definitely stayed longer.

So good we came back 2 days later for another meal. The food was great and well priced and the beer was the best I have had in Swanage. Very friendly staff and we we're made very welcome. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
