Rainbow Garage Cafe - Purbeck

Heard good comments about this place. Unfortunately, our breakfasts were miserable. Under cooked bacon, over cooked sausage and the fried egg was fridge temperature, not even warm. When I went to pay, although we were the only customers, I was not asked how everything was. Terribly disappointing.

Not a great breakfast. Tinned mushrooms, margarine not butter on toast. Could not do a poached egg. Paul the cook friendly but breakfast a let down.

Happened upon this Cafe which we just found out has changed hands recently. Warm friendly welcome and the food was lovely. I have dietry needs and they catered to me perfectly with no question. Interacted with the children as asked them how their day had been/where they were headed. I have seen the bad reviews but can honestly say, give them another go…. We felt it worth it!

This place has changed hands again and although the ladies were very pleasant and welcoming, the quality of the breakfast was not a sniff on what it used to be. Canned mushrooms, cheap meat and snotty eggs. The grill was clearly dirty as everything was covered in black soot. From memory the meat used to be from Jurrasic meats around the corner and was amazing. Priced at £10 for a large breakfast, you can get better quality elsewhere unfortunately.

The sausages, bacon, and eggs at this restaurant were all burnt, and the beans looked old and reheated multiple times. There was excessive grease on everything, making it unappetizing. Despite not eating any of the food, we were still charged £20 for it.
