Los Almendros, Esterillos Oeste

Delicious, fresh food, big portions and helpful, friendly staff. Particular shout out to staff who dropped us back to our hotel after our driver didn’t show up and no-one else was available! So kind.

We ate here twice over Easter week on our first trip to Esterillos. It is so worth coming from out of town to visit here- a real gem. Possibly the best food I've ever had ! Food was incredible and the drinks were too!

We ate here at the recommendation of our hosts, and tried other restaurants as well. Not only was Los Almendros the best in the area, the food ranks with the best I’ve had in my travels in general. We had the Caribbean stewed chicken and the Thai style peanut sauce with tofu just delicious. Nearly every dish has a vegetarian option. The atmosphere is informal and family friendly typically filled with community and visitors. Not to be missed!

We have been patronizing this restaurant since it opened in 2008. It is our favorite place between Jaco and Quepos. Looks coy us it is 10 minutes from our place here in Esterillos.

It was delicious, and the stuff was very friendly! I had the house burger that came with home made buns and a pineapple chutney sauce accompanied with spicy juca fries. A combination a sweetness and spices.
