Toritos - Puerto Vallarta

I want to give a shout out to El Torito in the PV Marina! On Monday March 26, we had a get-together for 16 people. We placed a take-out order with El Torito. Mostly ribs, chicken skewers and tortilla soup. The food was ready exactly on-time, well-prepared and organized! The staff put the name, price and content on every take out container. The food was excellent!!! This was the second time someone in my social circle did take-out with El Torito and it was really great both times! I highly recommend them!

We had gone to El Torito's when it was downtown. Great to have a site out at the Marina area now. Last year it wasn't great (maybe just post covid challenges) but this year it had improved. Try the 2 for 1 ribs available between 2 to 4 pm most days. It is good value for ribs.

Hated to see them close the down town location. With the growth and their location, it is hard to believe that they could not clean up and be full a lot of the time. This location is at the Marina. The ribs were OK, but could have been boiled longer to make them fall of the bone. They fell off, just not all the way. Disappointed that they did not have draft beers as they did down town. They only sold bottles. They advertised taking credit cards, but only for certain meals. We use cash anyway, but it is strange that they would advertise credit cards and then the waitress would notify you on on certain meals. We saw teh waitress once to take the order and then it was someone else and the manager.

Have always gone downtown to PV to have Ribs, the last 2 years we came to like the the marina branch along with the owners relative as Manager, really nice to see a friendly face that acknowledged us. Yesterday we decided to have lunch, no more specials, no familiar faces, one server in his 20’s if that and a young woman behind the bar. Not a soul in the restaurant ordered drinks, checked a very plain menu, not like the old colourful one. Decided not to take a chance, we left never to return unfortunately.

We are staying at Condominium Marina del Rey. El Torito is housed within and its an easy 5 minute walk to great ribs. Meaty and tender we have had them on several occasion. They have a 2 for the price of 1 special, Monday thru Friday from 12-4 pm. We go down before 4 pm and the special is our supper for two days. Generous amount of ribs, small portion of fries, small container of coleslaw and garlic bread.
