The restaurant brought me back how the dinge taste in pw...Fresh and not masse produced. we ordered the breakfast decorated with a fresh fruit plate with live flowers, freshly pressed abi. two eggs fixes any type or chilaquiles, toast and coffee....Chef ramiro makes his own sauces after need. it offers fresh honey and mangotschia seeds jam for the toast of the organic honey and jam are also for sale. the atmosphere was quiet and friendly. we plan to return next week to dinner with related and friends.
I had an amazing meal cooked by chef Ramiro Lopez at Iyari Restaurant y Foo Cultural. We were served tea and seafood soup with peppers to begin. Next we were served a main course which consisted of chicken which was fresh from the farm, fragrant...and colourful rice as well as sweet grilled peppers. The meal was served with fresh tortillas, white wine and of course garnished with edible, beautiful magnolia flowers. We also had a plate of fresh chopped onion, tomato and lime. The location is a convienent short ride into town and in the middle of a lovely courtyard with much greenery as a back drop. The restaurant is supplied with local cheeses and meat and vegetables from nearby farms. I invite tourists to venture out and try this fresh, healthy, Mexican fare as soon as possible.
We recently visited a newly opened restaurant called IYARI, for lunch. IYARI is located in the Puerto de Luna Hotel across from the Villa De Palmar in Hotels Zona. We had what I considered to be the BEST Ceviche I have had anywhere in town. I...ordered the COMBO.. chunks of shrimp fish the balance of lemon to the other seasonings was perfect. Chef Ramiros' take on Sopes was excellent as well, triangular shaped stuffed w/ refried beans finished with a topping of thinly diced chorizo salsa. YUMMY! Our entree was called Pescado en Hoja Santa, (Holy Fish.) A locally caught fish called Pintilla which seldom gets to the big markets because it is usually consumed by all the fishermen. This fillet was wrapped in seaweed another local leaf, (Hoja Santa), which gave this dish a unique flavor, then steamed dashed w/sesame seeds. It was DELICIOUS !!! Chef Ramiro also organically grows his own Herbs veggies at his farm in Nayarit There are many other items on the menu that look exciting so we will need to go back for some more pallet experiences. Chef Ramiro is destined for success. BTW.. he was also the winner of the Last PV Chili Cook Off here in Puerto Vallarta
My family and I found this place by accident, and we were extremely happy that we did. We were looking for a place to eat lunch, and I had read on a Puerto Vallarta expat forum about a new restaurant opened by the chef who...had been running the kitchen at Que Pasa, so we decided to check it out. The food was amazing, and the presentation was so beautiful, with lovely edible flowers scattered on some of the plates. It is situated on the grounds of Puerto de Luna Hotel, and is around the back, so it was a little tricky to find, but worth the effort! I think because it is so new they haven't had a chance to put up a sign. My father got the ceviche, which he loved, my sister and mother both had fish, grilled to perfection, and I had the best fish I think I've ever tasted, which was wrapped in Hoja Santa leaves and then cooked, infusing it with the most marvelous unique flavor, We sat on the pretty patio, which looks out over the green lawns of Puerto de Luna hotel. The service and attention were terrific, and it was a calm and lovely spot to sit and enjoy our chilled white wine and fabulous meal, a green haven in the noisy bustle of the hotel zone. My family agreed that it was the best meal of our visit to Vallarta, and I am looking forward to returning when I make my next trip there. This place is a winner, and is sure to become very popular as more people discover it.
