Steam Coffee Co - Proviso Township

Best Cafe food I've ever had. And this is coming from a semi-frequent traveler/full-time foodie. This place is doing everything right.

Everything about this place I thought was good. Food and service was good. Prices were good which was about $5 for an espresso and peanut butter cookie. A nice amount of space to stretch out.

My partner and I were visiting from MN and this was the closest coffee shop to our hotel. We were excited to check it out because it’s local and we have an affinity for steampunk. What a classy place. We first patronized on a Thursday and then again this morning as we headed out of town. Really enjoyed the House Steamer with Oatly, atmosphere and friendly staff!

I was excited to see they have gluten-free options. The lemon blueberry muffin had a nice texture… Reminded me of angel food cake — fluffy and spongy. However it did not taste like lemon (rather flavorless) and there were only two blueberries in the whole muffin. I also had an ice vanilla latte that did not overwhelm me. Probably won’t be back..
