Bidrage med feedbackThis restaurant has a lovely location, and the food was very good. Unfortunately our experience was ruined by the waitress who served us. I appreciate that many French people find it disrespectful when English speaking folks come to France and expect to be catered to in English, but my husband does speak French and the waitress was still extremely rude. However, but for this individual it would have been a very nice meal.
I wanted a nice dinner after a day in Provins and we settled on Le Bistrot des Remparts. I am thoroughly happy. I had one of the set menus with Duck Foie Gras, Beef Filet with Polenta, and Five Desserts inspired by the Damascus Rose. The rest in my party had other options for entry, main and dessert. Everything was yummy, and beautifully presented. The wine list covered local and regional French wines. The service was friendly and attentive. I had a perfect evening, and would recommend anyone to go to Le Bistrot des Remparts for a perfect end to your day.
Simple, quick service. Not a gourmet meal, but goat cheese salad was large and tasty and filling. Wine was less than memorable. But we were not looking for a gourmet meal this evening.
We spent my wife and I more than 3 hours at the table while the restaurant was almost empty and I cast a very serious doubt on the nature of the meat, it was supposed to be lamb. For me it was beef, you know, go on your way because the prices are not worth what you are going to eat, and especially if you come with a smartbox (which was our case), the service feels
Splendid, maybe a little too copyy for one night. suggestion if the same type of menu could exist for the evening but in much less copyy. always taking into account your tastes.
